The following are campaigns that I've worked on these past few months along with explanations of my process and inspiration along the way.
My Work
I wanted to show how being gay or lesbian is just as natural as being straight. By showing animals that we all know and love, I was able to make homosexuality more relatable.Instead of using stock photos or vector images I decided to take another route. When I was working on the thumbnails, I noticed that I liked the cartoon-style for the animals. I decided to draw the animals myself, which gave the project a nice personal touch.
This project is my more humorous campaigns. I wanted a clean and simple design paired with memorable copy.Even though acai is a favorite fruit of mine, I didn’t know how to pronounce it up until a few months ago. I found others shared this same problem; I used this common mistake as my inspiration for the campaign. I then expanded on its' usefulness and versatility, in hopes of sharing the wonders of this superfood.
When searching for job and internship opportunities, it's important to make yourself memorable to prospective employers. This brochure helps to introduce myself to agencies on a different level. With the format of the brochure I was able to get more creative and colorful than I could have on a resume. When folded, it slides perfectly into an envelope, making it easy to mail. I wanted to show my eye for design through my past work and the brochure itself.
Justin's is a growing organic nut butter brand based in Boulder, CO. Using local organic ingredients, Justin's has made a commitment to providing consumers with high quality nut butter in every jar. I focused on their strongest attributes and highlighted the advantage Justin's has over the leading brand of peanut butter. Using my Wacom tablet and Photoshop, I created visual annotations to help guide the reader through the copy and add to light-hearted demeanor that Justin's has built.
In addition to the three print campaign ad that I made for Justin's, I also drew up a storyboard for a commercial. I want to introduce Justin's to women everywhere as a healthy, guilt-free snack. By reenacting that moment where we give in to our guilty pleasure, I was able to position Justin's as the new craving to give in to.
The Keurig coffee maker has truly grown and become popular in the past few years, however it's still seen as a luxury item. Working with my colleague, Katherine Duguid, we built this campaign to target professionals and help them view Keurig as more of a necessary luxury. Katherine was responsible for copy and I handled the graphics. Together we emphasized how Keurig saves you time in the morning and helps you live life a little more.
